Tweed! Is the word! That's what I hear and we have reacted by adding a lot of new "tweedy" items for your perusal. I also added some new lingerie, some 1940's-60's suits and coats for the approaching cooler weather.

This time of year is the time when people are coming out of the woodwork with estates , and I have been deluged with calls! I'm so fotunate to be finding the best virgin stuff right out of the closets and drawers and attics in Pennsylvania. If you haven't found that *perfect* gown for your wedding- look no further! I finally took this one ( details about finding it were in the last newsletter) out of it's box, where it had been since 1947, and measured it. Bust 32", waist 24". It is a strapless number with a full circle skirt in white satin; a full lace detachable overskirt makes the train. The bolero jacket is a separate piece.Includes Veil. Most recently, I was in upstate New York, at an old country store/house. It was a complete DUMP! Squirrels and mice has made their homes in some of the clothes. But that did'nt stop Miss kitty, no siree! I was able to salvage 6 trashbags of stuff. Much of it is at the cleaners,and a lot of it has been in my washer, dryer and on my ironing board, and will soon be ready for sale! (P.S. Don't worry- squirrel and mice cooties are NOT included with any items we have for sale!)

I will try to get it on the site in the next few weeks. But in the mean time , you must see some of the fall items I added just TONIGHT!! ( see what the cat dragged in below!)

Quite by accident, I discovered a way to make yellowed undergarments, such as a merry widow, look good again! I washed it with an old red sweatshirt, ( At first, I FREAKED!!- did'nt see the RED sweatshirt go in!) which made it come out in a peachy color( Huh?). Viola! It looks like it was meant to be that way. Sometimes the seemingly worst things that happen turn out good! Works in life too, sometimes! :)
